Thanks for that

Hey @imadethisnameup,

Thanks for the tip, Scroogle does seem pretty good to me; I wonder if anyone else knows of other good options?

Nice one.

@Paul

Cool, glad it turned out to be useful. Yeh different people expect different behaviours from the delete, worth noting.

Many thanks - A little note

Hi,

Thanks for putting this info up. I only started using TBird today& the sort order was already getting annoying.

A quick note though. I made all the changes you suggested & restarted - Much better, except the behaviour on delete was weird.

I start at the top of my mail & work down through. With mail.delete_matches_sort_order=true, when I delete a message the focus goes back to one I've already read.

Changing this back to false made much more sense for me.

All the best,

paul.

@Noel,

Yep you're quite right you do need to aptitude install if you don't already have chromium installed. Thanks for the addition, much appreciated!

Hi,

If chromium isn't already installed I think this line:

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude upgrade chromium browser

should be:

sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude install chromium-browser

Cheers,

Noel

Keep up the good work
